Nana Hawaii 2015

Tuesday, July 14, 2015

It's family tradition that every summer we go on at least one big family trip. Or maybe it's because school's out... This year it was a family get together on the beautiful island of Kauai where we joined my nana and papa, aunts and uncles, and lots of cousins.

One day we hiked a part of the Na Pali Coast to a 400 foot tall waterfall (don't worry, you'll see part of it in pictures later).  My favorite part was the hike to the fall because I got to spend those few hours just hiking with my Nana and hearing about her love for the islands as she grew up in Tonga, Western Samoa, and Hawaii.  Yeah, we may be a few haoles, but the Frisch's sure do love the ocean.

Said big waterfall. (you can't even see the top)

BTW this is how pineapples grow. One was growing in the front yard of our next-door neighbors.

Cousins rock!

One of the many eyes closed pictures.

Hey look another one!

Numero tres.

And another...

And here is a video to sum up the 25+ hours of video taken.
